Hi! Not to be redundant but my name is David Bourn. I am a research scientist and  live in Minneapolis. This website is my attempt to reach out to a broader audience of people who have encountered various situations in their personal and professional lives and share those experiences. Specifically, as a scientist I am interested in ways to encourage innovation in both my personal and professional life as well as learn more about technical leadership. Leadership in corporate America seems to be thought of as more of a people management skill and doesn’t particularly focus on leadership at a technical level for people who are on the front-lines. Such “technical leadership” in my opinion would include communications skills, including the ability to logically, and concisely convey ideas and arguments that are audience appropriate.   Any thoughts that anyone can offer are greatly appreciated and I encourage discussion on these topics.  Hi Google!
